Bali Twin Centre
Bali is Indonesia's 'Island of the Gods' and it's aptly named - this is a land of stunning natural beauty and friendly people who are proud of their ancient traditions and spirituality. You'll find the beach resorts that Bali is best known for on its southern shores, but there's so much more to Bali than its coastline. Venture inland, amid the lush rice terraces and dramatic valleys and you can cycle through rice terraces, go temple-hopping and take time out at wellbeing retreats.
To really make the most of your stay on the island, we recommend at least 10 days and combining two or three places to stay as you travel around the island. During that time relax on the beach in the south or in the north (the north tends slightly wilder in feel and a bit more off the beaten track). For the more active, an early morning trek to see the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur is not to be missed, but other things to do to give you a sense of the culture of Bali include cooking classes, exploring local temples, shopping for local crafts and sampling local spa treatments that feature at most hotels.

Lovina
Bali's north coast
Head to the north and you'll see a quieter side of Bali. The journey there is worth it - you'll go by road across the middle of the island across the mountains and back down again. Once you arrive you'll find the pace is a little more relaxed than the resorts on the south coast and the volcanic black sand beaches less busy. Take to the water on a sunrise boat trip and there's a good a good chance you'll spot dolphins. Snorkelling and diving are popular here too. Head inland and you can visit dramatic waterfalls whilst the hills above Lovina are home to Buddhist temples where some experience a profound sense of calm.
Seminyak
Seminyak is famed for it's long wide beach and party vibe with its fabulous choice of hip bars, cafes and restaurants. It's good too for trendy boutiques for a spot of shopping. Like Ubud, our accommodation here is retreat-like, so you get the best of both worlds. Relaxing activities include yoga and a sundowner whilst watching the sunset should feature in your daily routine.
