Days 1-3
Hanoi
Hanoi is the perfect scene-setter for the adventure that lies ahead. You jump in with both feet, starting with a full-day tour with a private driver and guide to take you to the places you want to see most. Your first three nights are spent in the peaceful surroundings of the Mövenpick hotel on a leafy street set back from the hubbub.
Day 4
Halong Bay
Swap the city for serenity on an overnight cruise on Halong Bay. You’ll board a traditional junk boat to explore this wonderland of shimmering water and enchanting caves that hide magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. Spend time kayaking or just sitting on the deck looking out over the scenery and taking a mindful moment.
Days 5-6
Hue
Sitting on the Perfume River, Hue was the capital of the Nguyen emperors. During your time in the city, you’ll venture out on a private tour, starting at the Minh Mang Tomb, the resting place of a 19th-century Nguyen Dynasty leader, before visiting the Thien Mu Pagoda, Vietnam’s tallest pagoda with seven ever-decreasing storeys. It’s up to you to decide whether a trip in a traditional dragon boat or the Imperial City is your highlight.
Days 7-9
Hoi An
You’ve got three days to relax in Hoi An. And while there’s plenty of time to enjoy the lovely surroundings of your resort hotel, the Almanity Hoi An Resort & Spa, you’ll also get to know the Old Town of Hoi An on an insightful walking tour, visiting a traditional house and a temple known as the Japanese Covered Bridge. Your exploration wraps up with a boat trip along the Thu Bon River.
Days 11-13
Ho Chi Minh City
Fabulous HCMC is next — the former Saigon is a genuinely unforgettable stop on your itinerary. You’ve got four days here, where you’ll spend a whole day in the company of a private guide who’ll show you the highlights of this colourful and noisy city. Your second day has you exploring the Mekong Delta and its narrow canals, offering a glimpse into local life.
Days 14-15
Phnom Penh
Welcome to Cambodia. You’ll spend two nights in the capital, checking into the beautiful Raffles Hotel Le Royal for a pampering stay in historic surroundings. You’re mere steps from the city’s famous pagoda, but be sure to stroll a little further to shop for handicrafts in the markets and admire the faded grandeur of the French Quarter.
Days 16-18
Siem Reap
You’ll fly to Siem Reap, spending your next few nights at Tara Angkor, well-positioned to explore the famous temples. A private tour helps you see Angkor Wat’s highlights, with the option to upgrade your experience to include a sunset champagne cruise or a balloon flight.
Days 19-21
Luang Prabang
All too soon, you’ll reach the last destination on your ultimate tour. Your trip doesn’t tail off — you continue with a fabulous immersion into Laos’ former capital, Luang Prabang. On your first full day, you’ll visit temples and a palace before ascending Phousi Hill for city views at sunset. The second day has a tuk-tuk ride and boat trip to limestone caverns, ending your journey on a high.
