In keeping with the homely setting, meals are served communally in the dining room or outside if weather permits.
Whilst the battlefield tours are the main attraction here, you can also go on nature walks, bird watching and fly fishing. There are also a number of walking, running and biking trails in the nature reserve.

The David Rattray Foundation focuses on education and, as well as providing infrastructure, it has created a team of educators to support early childhood development.
