Regina Adelaide

A sophisticated retreat in Garda's old quarter.

Experience “la dolce vita” in this charmingly sophisticated retreat just a short stroll from the lake.

Regina Adelaide began life as a private lakeside villa, and it still has that aura of exclusivity, without being anything but wonderfully welcoming. The elegant Liberty-style holiday home at the core of the hotel provides the inspiration for the retro design, inside and out. There are oriental rugs everywhere, green-painted rattan armchairs and metal lamps in the lounge and wood-panelling in the cosy American bar. In the garden, the glamorous pool is fringed with striped parasols in aquamarine and white, like something a 1920s Hollywood starlet would have chosen.

Why we love Regina Adelaide

  • Regina Adelaide has a wonderful location where you can easily walk to the shops, restaurants and bars of the old Garda town centre.

  • Enjoy sweet treats and artisinal products from the in-house pâtisserie - considered one of Garda’s best by locals.

  • Regina Adelaide's spa is based on a LivingCore Philosophy. The treatments here are based on traditional Chinese medicine to balance the mind and soul.

  • Rent an E-bike to cover more of Lake Garda's shoreline.

The main restaurant may focus on classic Italian cuisine, and does so brilliantly, but the other takes those same culinary traditions and gives them an inventive modern twist. Even in the pâtisserie - considered one of Garda’s best by locals - the emphasis on artisanal products and regional recipes seems very now.

Restaurant Adelaide
Begin the day in the light and airy Restaurant Adelaide, which serves a hot and cold buffet breakfast. The sweet and savoury baked goods - from the in-house pâtisserie - are particularly moreish. You can return here for sophisticated Italian cuisine in the evening,

Regio Patio
Enjoy the gourmet experience of Regio Patio, set in a frescoed building overlooking the garden. The à la carte menu focuses on seasonal local ingredients and classic Italian flavours with a modern twist. The wine list here is pretty extensive with over 200 labels to choose from.

American Bar
This cosy, wood-panelled bar serves drinks and snacks throughout the day, though we think it’s particularly inviting in the evening, when you can settle into a leather armchair with a cocktail or aperitivo and listen to live piano music.

Pool Bar
For those attached to their sun lounger, an all-day offering of drinks, snacks, salads and pasta dishes is available at the Pool Bar.

Pâtisserie
Anyone with a sweet tooth will be in heaven at the Pâtisserie, where you can pause for a restorative coffee and cake or buy something to take away for later.

We love the concept behind Regio Patio. Here, à la carte and tasting menus have been created to take you on a sensory journey of authentic flavours.
