Habarana Village by Cinnamon

Savour the rustic charm

Designed to look like a village at one with nature, this low-key retreat is close to the beautiful Habarana Lake.

Featuring views out over Habarana Lake and modelled on a traditional Sri Lankan village with small chalets dotted through the lush landscape, Habarana Village is adjacent to Cinnamon Lodge and is a paradise for nature lovers. Like its neighbour, the resort gives you the opportunity to experience the beauty, wildlife and tranquillity of the region once you've returned from exploring the incredible sights of central Sri Lanka. There’s a delightful restaurant but, for a real treat, you can enjoy dinner in the beautiful treehouse private dining venue, or perhaps beside the lake.

Why we love Habarana Village by Cinnamon

  • It has a superb setting on the edge of a lake, with acres of wooded grounds that’s a haven for birdlife

  • The Cultural Triangle’s main sights are within easy driving distance, with the elephants of Minneriya almost on the doorstep

  • After a day of sightseeing or nature-watching, you can retreat to the award-winning spa for a soothing Balinese massage

  • The private dining experiences includes romantic dinners in a lakeside treehouse or breakfast by the water
