Premkunj

Boutique homestay in the Udaipur hills

Set on the outskirts of Udaipur and surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, the property was a 50-year-old farmhouse with stables that the current owner has spent 10 years restoring.

Premkunj has a blend of colonial and Indian architecture, with grand pillars and wide verandas. Keen to preserve its natural beauty, 4,000 trees have been planted. There are two gardens with plenty of space to relax and a lovely swimming pool. Take a picnic and hike the nature trails to Badi Lake whilst looking for the many bird species found in this area. Premkunj borders Sajjangarh Reserve so you may see deer and if you are very lucky, a leopard from the terrace.

Why we love Premkunj

  • Join the owner for a one-hour trek to the neighbouring hill to enjoy the sunrise with tea

  • After being in the hustle and bustle of the city, relax by the pool or read on the rooftop

  • Experience rural village life with a visit to Badi

  • At the end of the day, gather around the bonfire under starry skies
