Brunton Boatyard – A CGH Heritage Hotel

Nostalgia brooding on the harbour

A restored 19th-century shipyard, close to the famous Chinese Fishing Nets in Fort Kochi.

Beautifully restored from the remains of a Victorian shipyard, this charming boutique hotel sits right on the waterfront, just a short walk from the famous Chinese Fishing Nets. Showcasing a wonderful mix of colonial Dutch, British and Portuguese décor, the hotel's interiors artistically reflect the history of the region in which it sits. Charming features include the high arched wooden ceilings and the terracotta floors, as well as a wonderful assortment of antique artefacts and maritime maps that decorate the walls. As you enter the hotel you will still see punkhas, an ancient method of hanging fans to provide a cooling breeze from the tropical heat.

Why we love Brunton Boatyard – A CGH Heritage Hotel

  • You're within striking distance of all Kochi's famous landmarks

  • Watch the ships sail by as you take a swim in the water's edge pool

  • For a relatively small property, the dining options are excellent

  • Sunset cruises make the most of the glorious views of drifting boats and Kochi’s famous Chinese nets silhouetted at dusk
