Mykonos Riviera

Spellbinding views meet cool Cycladic looks and imaginative dining

With its chic minimalist design and personalised service, this intimate coastal retreat is luxurious and relaxed in equal measure.

With its sugar-cube buildings draped down a hillside overlooking the Aegean and the swish marina, Mykonos Riviera is the epitome of contemporary Cycladic chic. This inviting boutique property, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is made for elegant relaxation. There’s a gravity-defying glass-bottomed infinity pool which seems to merge into the ocean, a spa complete with a water circuit and traditional hammam, and sprawling terraces where you can linger over modern Greek food or a perfectly constructed cocktail.

Why we love Mykonos Riviera

  • There are fabulous ocean vistas from every room, but it’s worth upgrading to the Ambio Retreat for a hot tub on the terrace, too.

  • From super-fresh breakfasts to starlit dinners of modern Greek cuisine, there’s a focus on seasonal, local and organic ingredients.

  • As well as a list of fabulous massages, wraps and facials, the dreamy spa has a thalassotherapy suite and a traditional-style hammam.

  • They have their own fleet of boats for self-guided island explorations and a great range of crewed experiences for less confident mariners.

The sleek and surprisingly large Oqua Spa has a thalassotherapy pool, a traditional hammam, a sauna and six treatment rooms. Therapies include high-tech facials, signature massages, body-soothing wraps and a choice of hammam rituals. The fully equipped Fitness Club has Matrix cardio and resistance machines, free weights and qualified staff on hand to offer advice. Yoga sessions are also available.

The heated seawater infinity pool is the stylish hub of Mykonos Riviera, offering breathtaking views across the Aegean from the water and the cosy loungers that line it. The sands of Agios Stefanos beach are a stroll away, and the hotel has a range of boats to hire, from RIBs and speedboats to a luxury yacht, as well as crewed options such as dolphin spotting or sunset gazing trips.

In the kitchen, much of the produce is organic and locally grown, some of it on site; there are eco-friendly products in the rooms and the housekeeping teams’ cleaning baskets, and energy comes from renewable sources.

Cribs and babysitting are available, but there isn’t a kids’ club or a pool for them.

The rooms and suites are all easily accessed by wheelchair and buggies.
