This elegant beachfront resort close to Kos Town has adult-only spaces for couples and a wealth of family-friendly facilities
Taking its cues from the timeless simplicity of Greek village architecture, Grecotel LUXME Kos Imperial provides a stylish setting for carefree holidays. Its low-rise, terracotta-tiled buildings are scattered around 25 acres of mature gardens laced with lagoons, waterways and waterfalls, with a pebble beach beyond. There’s a dizzying choice of subtly nautical accommodation – think blue, sand and white decor – from penthouse suites with panoramic views to two-bedroomed seaside bungalows with private pools. The dining scene is almost as varied, so you can try local home-style cooking, stylish Asian dishes or a wood-fired pizza as the mood takes you. If you’re not the type to laze by the (fabulous) pools, you could scoot across the water on a windsurfer, pedal along quiet country cycle paths or head into Kos Town to wander its stone-paved lanes or take an island-hopping boat trip from the harbour.
Why we love Grecotel LUXME Kos
-
It’s on a tucked-away leafy 25-acre estate by a squeaky-clean beach, but the sights of historic Kos Town are just an easy bus ride away
-
If you can tear yourself away from the six swimming pools, there are masses of activities such as tennis, yoga and various watersports
-
There are adult-only places such as the spa, rooftop restaurant and part of the beach, and pools, clubs and mini buffets just for children
-
Thanks to the design, it feels more like a stylish village than a resort, and the warm service only adds to the home-from-home appeal
This resort has earned internationally recognised certification that conform to standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Rooms
There are 383 light-filled rooms, suites and bungalows, decorated in a seaside-summer palette of white, neutrals and splashes of Mediterranean blue. The many different accommodation types provide plenty of options for couples, families and groups of friends. For instance, the lead-in Double Rooms are made for two (though there is an extra single bed and they can be interconnected) and come in garden view, side sea view and sea view versions. The Petit Family Bungalow sleeps four in two separate areas, though for more space, those with children might consider a Family Bungalow, which has an additional bedroom, or a Bungalow Maisonette Side Sea View, where each bedroom has an en-suite. Ringside views of the sea are the main attraction of the Bungalow First Row Sea View. For the luxury of a private pool, opt for a Bungalow First Row Sea View Private Pool.
Facilities
The six restaurants cater to every mood, so there’s a fine-dining spot for grown-up dinners, à la carte Asian cuisine and several unfussy venues for Mediterranean dishes from pizza to homely Greek cooking. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as BIO wines are available in all of the restaurants.
Lagoon
The main restaurant is a buffet-style affair with a mainly Mediterranean menu and an extensive outdoor terrace beside the lagoon. Themed nights during the week provide yet more variety.
The Finicia
At the rooftop fine-dining restaurant, the sophisticated tasting menus come with flavours of France, Italy or Greece and panoramic views.
1930s Bar Restaurant
Come to this relaxed evening venue for an aperitif, charcuterie and cheese platters, Italian classics and sublime ice creams.
Tavernaki
Inspired by traditional tavernas, this cosy dinner spot serves food with an authentic home-cooked appeal, prepared using the best local ingredients.

Dine in this stylish à la carte restaurant for a memorable meal packed with exotic flavours from all around Asia.
Food Court
With a bar, a lunchtime menu of favourites such as freshly made pizza, plus a creperie and gelateria, this all-day hangout has all-round appeal.
