Porto Sani

A swish stay for families

Fresh from a multi-million facelift, Porto Sani is an elegant, family-oriented hotel in the Sani collection of luxury hotels.

While all families with children will benefit from the exceedingly child-orientated set-up at Porto Sani, this hotel is particularly perfect for families with babies and preschoolers, making relaxing breaks with little ones as easy as possible. At Porto Sani, you’re well located in the wider Sani resort to take easy advantage of the facilities and amenities designed with the smallest travellers in mind, including a toddler’s splash pad by the nearest pool and a creche on-site. Some of Sani’s best child-friendly restaurants are just a short stroll away, complete with nourishing and colourful Annabel Karmel food stations.

Why we love Porto Sani

  • All suites sleep up to two adults and two children, but the two- and three-bedroom family suites with private gardens or private pools are worth a look for more space (or tagalong grandparents!)

  • Childcare starts at the accredited creche when babies are six months old, and private nannies and evening babysitting are also available to ensure the perfect balance of time together and time apart.

  • Leave all the bulky baby items at home. Proper wooden cots, sterilisers, white noise machines, baby monitors, and more are available upon request.

  • There is a five-day swimming lesson programme for babies over six months old, but there are also plenty of pools (and a splash zone) for family moments together.

Although you’ve got a wide selection of restaurants across the Sani resort at your fingertips, Porto Sani is an excellent choice when you don’t want to venture far. You’ve got two restaurants to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and Artemis will be a firm favourite, especially if you’ve got a picky eater in the family. For an adults-only night, take advantage of the bookable evening babysitting and reserve a table at the fabulous El Puerto, masterminded by a Michelin-starred chef.

Artemis
An al fresco restaurant set in flower-filled gardens with a special children’s section featuring dishes developed by Annabel Karmel. Opens for breakfast and dinner.

El Puerto
Feast on Spanish flavours created by Michelin-starred chef David Ibarboure. It opens for dinner, serving tapas at the bar and an a la carte menu on a veranda.

Elia
A modern Greek restaurant designed for family dining. Opens for breakfast and dinner.

Lima
Introduce your little ones to Peruvian flavours at this Latin American restaurant. Opens for dinner.

Sea Breeze
An all-day, poolside bar serving everything from coffee and juice to light lunches and cocktails. Return for live music in the evening.

Across the Sani resort, there are an impressive 27 restaurants (19 have child-friendly menus), leaving ample options to try throughout your stay.

Whats Included

Full Board • Breakfast at Artemis or Elia • Lunch or Dinner at Artermis or E Puerto or selected restaurants in the Dine Around program with sister properties.

The Spa Suite is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers various pampering treatments. To complement your pamper session, there’s a thermal suite with a steam room, sauna, and specialist showers. A heated indoor pool is reserved exclusively for adults during certain times of the day. There’s also a dedicated tween spa menu for guests over 12. Beyond the spa, there are other ways to prioritise your wellbeing, from complimentary guided jogs to al fresco fitness. Many specialist yoga classes, Pilates, and meditation are also available.

Few resorts truly rival what Sani has to offer for families. Childcare starts from six months all the way to teens, with wraparound care provided by private nannies and evening babysitters. The family offering extends far beyond the traditional kids’ club. There’s a complimentary ‘Babewatch’ service, offering 30 minutes of complimentary childcare on the beaches, giving you time to swim or get stuck into a book, knowing your kids are safe and happy.

Sani brought baby food expert Annabel Karmel on board to develop menus for babies, tots, and children. And if you’re a sleep-deprived parent, help is on hand from Carol Mae Baby Consulting.

A vast selection of baby products is available to pre-book, from the big things like strollers and cots to the stuff that’s helpful not to have to pack, like bottle warmers and Gro Clocks.

Older children and teens aren’t an afterthought, and the offering goes beyond game consoles (although you’ll find those, too). There are excellent academies they can enrol in, including the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre, Chelsea FC Academy, sailing, PADI scuba diving, KTM mountain biking, and Bear Grylls Survival Academy. There’s even a family adventure where you’ll build fires and forage together.
