But if you simply want to take refreshing dips in the pool and slowly make your way between your sunlounger and the swim-up bar, that’s what Dreams is made of too.

Why we love Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa

  • When you’re ready to tear yourself away from the Dreams bubble, you’re in an excellent location for getting out to explore intriguing Mayan ruins

This poolside spot will bound to become a firm favourite thanks to its handy location and light lunch menu. Barefoot by name, and barefoot by nature — swimsuits and sandy toes are welcome at this casual eatery.

Bordeaux
An adults-only restaurant serving fancy French fare in a formal setting. Families are welcome to dine on the terrace.

Coco Café
Grab caffeinated pick-me-ups and ice cream all day. Relax and sit in or order to go.

El Patio
Taste the flavours of the nation at the resort’s authentic Mexican where the décor is as lively as the dishes.

Gohan
Indulge in sushi specialities, dining alongside fellow guests perched on bar stools or opting for an unhurried evening for two at one of the tables.

Himitsu

Manatees

Rendezvous
The lobby bar is a central social space. Find a seat at the bar – tequila anyone? Or head out on to the terrace for al fresco drinks on a balmy Mexican night.

Revive
The spa bar serves up nutritious options to complement the spa’s wellness offerings and give you some oomph.

Sky Bar
A 24-hour sports bar serving drinks and snacks all day and a night buffet, beer, and soft drinks overnight.

Whats Included

Unlimited Luxury All Inclusive • All meals and drinks at restaurants around the resort with no reservations required • Unlimited international and local alcoholic drinks, fruit juices and soft drinks • 24-hour room service and concierge • Pool and beach waiter service • Minibar refreshed daily with soft drinks, juice, bottled water and beer • Themed parties and entertainment.

There’s a large spa at Dreams with a hydrotherapy area to enjoy pre- or post-treatment — the aroma-therapeutic salt scrub is heavenly. Choose from the cool comfort of an interior cabin, including a couple’s treatment room, or one of three beach cabins, two jungle cabins, and a holistic cabin. For a bit of pampering before a night out, there’s a full-service beauty salon for hair and nails, and a Spa Pantry where guests can get creative blending bespoke spa products.

In the fitness centre you’ll find treadmills and ellipticals alongside step machines and free weights. Or, if you’re looking for a group activity, choose from tennis, water aerobics, beach and water volleyball, beach soccer and beach yoga.

There are two pools at the resort, one of which features a splash park for kids with six slides and squirters. There’s the chance to take an intro to diving course in the pool, or if you’re keen to get out on the ocean, there’s kayaking, snorkelling, catamarans, and scuba diving available for a charge.

What’s nearby? The city of Tulum's ruins are the biggest attraction in the area and it’s just over 10 minutes' drive from the hotel. The resort runs trips to explore the site, as well as downtown Tulum – where you can shop for handmade souvenirs. There are also excursions available to two local cenotes, Dos Ojos and Ik Kil, which are incredible natural underground pools. Chichen Itza is just over two hours' drive away.

Tried and tested: Use of the supervised Explorer’s Club is included as part of the All Inclusive package, and it’s open all day for children aged 3 to 12. This is also where you’ll find the excellent kids’ splash park. We’d highly recommend the weekly camping adventure organised by the kids’ club – youngsters will love camping out on the beach, and you’ll get a chance to truly relax as they make new friends.

The sleeping arrangements: The Deluxe Family Room is made up of two interconnecting Deluxe Rooms, so you get plenty of space and separate bedrooms. Each Deluxe Room also has a balcony or terrace with a hammock, and nice little touches like a minibar refreshed daily with beer, juices, soft drinks and bottled water. There’s also a television, 24-hour room service and iPod docking station – perfect if you’ve got a tech-loving teen.

Minimum stay: 4 nights 26-31 Dec.

Minimum age for the adults-only rooms is 18.
