Paperbark Camp, Jervis Bay 

A safari-style bush camp minutes from the natural beauty of Jervis Bay.

Nestled in a eucalypt and paperbark forest near the white sandy beaches of Jervis Bay, Paperbark Camp is a wonderful escape for nature lovers. This is camping for grown-ups. The 12 luxury safari-style tents are raised on stilts above the ground for extra privacy.

Each tent is named after an Australian creature and features wrap-around decking, an open-air en suite with hot shower, and high-quality linen for complete comfort. For the best in luxury camping, treat yourself to the Deluxe or King Deluxe tents, which feature a freestanding bath and modern furnishings. As a sustainable camp, you won’t find air-conditioning, TVs or power points in your tent, although power and Wi-Fi can be accessed in the Gunyah.

The Gunyah (an Aboriginal word for meeting place, or place of shelter) is the heart of the camp. This unique social space serves as a dining room, reception and communal lounge. In summer, sliding doors allow for al fresco candlelit dining, while in winter there’s an open fire. The surrounding area has plenty to offer, including bike rides, canoeing down the creek and bush walks in search of kangaroos.
