Taj Exotica lies behind the white sands of Radhanagar Beach, camouflaged by protected rainforest filled with towering indigenous trees.
Why we love Taj Exotica Resort & Spa
-
The beach is rated one of the best in the world for its white, crescent strip of sand with crystal waters
-
Many staff are from the Jarawa community and they’ll sing you a welcome song in their Nicobar mother tongue while you enjoy a jumbo coconut straight from the tree
-
From November to April, turtles nest on the beach
-
Head to the beach to watch the dramatic sunset before going on a night kayaking tour
This resort has earned internationally recognised certification that conform to standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
Facilities
The Shoreline restaurant specialises in South Asian curries whilst The Settlers showcases Andaman cuisine with plentiful fresh seafood on the menu. At Turtle House you can sometimes see migratory birds by day and thousands of stars by night.
Enjoy being surrounded by the rainforest with a treatment at the spa. Based on traditional ancient holistic therapies, indulge with an Indian head massage, sea salt scrub or soothing facial. There's also a strong focus on yoga and meditation here.
Explore the forest with the resort's naturalist guide, go cycling or explore in search of some of the island's birds including the Andaman serpent eagle.
Taj Exotica was built with conservation in mind, ensuring that not a single tree in the entire 46-acres was cut. The villas are made from sustainable plantation timber and placed wherever there was a natural clearing. They have a zero single-use plastic policy and instead guests are given glass bottles that can be refilled from their own water treatment plant. A biogas plant and partial solar power assist with the energy.
