 Ekaa Villa 

A boutique Agra getaway

Ekaa Villa is a boutique hotel inspired by the city’s ancient heritage and architecture, set in the heart of Agra.

There's been a lot of thought behind the design of Ekaa resulting in a modern interpretation of the classic Mughal architecture of Agra. For instance, each of the 12 rooms has its own characters and a clean minimalist feel, with feature elements of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort such as inlay patterns. This is also present in everything from Ekaa’s onsite boutique to its traditional breakfasts. Ekaa Villa is the brain-child of co-founder Udit, who also runs bespoke tours of the city. As such, staff can organise personalised tours that take you to secret spots in Agra, introduce you to local artisans and allow you to sample the city’s best street food.

The restaurant at Ekaa Villa serves up local dishes with fresh ingredients, from traditional thali to a breakfast of aloo-bedawin, deep-fried unleavened bread stuffed with spices and a spicy potato curry and cooling lassi.

Join a local for a Secret Taj tour, where you'll be taken off-the-beaten-track for uncrowded views of the Taj Mahal. Cycle or walk to a small village on the banks of the Yamuna River, where you can have tea and admire views of the Taj from the wheat fields.
