Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

A striking, elegant masterpiece

An Arabic-influenced resort right on the waterfront with copious facilities.

This large and luxurious beach resort has a graceful, elegant feel. At first glance, the sophisticated selection of restaurants and its decadent spa belie that it’s exceedingly family-friendly—children are welcomed as VIPs here. It’s the type of hotel that sweeps you into its luxury folds, where the service is top-notch, and you’ll feel utterly pampered from start to finish. You could simply relax by the sparkling pools or on the immaculate beach, but there’s plenty to do around the resort, and the local area is adventure-ready and ripe for exciting and memorable days out.

Why we love Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

  • Children will love the waterslides, cinema, and kids’ club, but the resort goes a step further with its excellent Little Hotelier Journey (at extra cost), where they can spend a couple of hours exploring behind the scenes of luxury hospitality.

  • Each restaurant offers a different cuisine and atmosphere. On the one hand, you’ll have the formality and specialness of Umi and on the other, the laid-back beach feels of the Palm Shore Pool Bar.

  • The generously sized rooms are exquisitely beautiful, finished to a high specification and in a tasteful palette of powder blue and gold. They all have walk-in wardrobes, oversized TVs, and marble bathrooms.

  • Golfers are spoiled here. The 18-hole championship golf course at Al Hamra Golf Club is right next door to the hotel and stays open at night for golf under the stars.

Two signature restaurants are the showstoppers here – the Japanese Umi with its live Teppanyaki and the sleek New York steakhouse Lexington Grill. But with six other places to eat and drink, you’re spoilt for choice. You’ll enjoy breakfast in Qasr Al Bahar, a light-filled dining room with a dedicated children’s section that opens for dinner, too. Palm Shore or Azure will be your go-to for lunch on leisurely days by the pool and on the beach. At some point during your stay, make time for the famous afternoon tea at Camelia Lounge.
