Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

A tropical resort set around lagoons

Stay in the folds of Thai-style luxury in a prime position on Dubai’s The Palm.

With easy access to the beach and pools, plus the option for direct lagoon access from your accommodation, this resort offers something a little different to others in Dubai. A wide selection of casual and refined dining options keeps things interesting when you plan to stay for a while, and there’s plenty to keep children entertained.

Why we love Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

  • The resort features the only overwater villas in the United Arab Emirates, and there are also rooms with direct access to the lagoon

  • For a special occasion, arrange dinner for two in the resort’s air-conditioned bubble — bound to be a memorable moment!

  • Take a Thai cooking class at Spice Spoons, the resort’s cooking school, where you can feast on your creation for lunch

  • There's a large spa where you can enjoy a range of treatments and therapies

There’s a diverse selection of restaurants that offer international cuisine in both casual and upscale atmospheres. You have the option to switch up your dining experience by choosing to dine at the buffet or dress up for a more formal experience at dinner. For a special occasion, you can even arrange a private dinner for two in an air-conditioned bubble.

The Beach House
Casual Mediterranean dining right on the beachfront. Open daily for lunch and dinner or enjoy sundowners with a shisha at dusk.

Crescendo
Live cooking stations, including charcoal grill, pizza ovens and tandoori ovens keep international foods flowing all day long at this colourful outpost by the pool.

Mekong
Take a seat at one of the rickshaw tables for dinner and feast on dishes inspired by Thailand, China, and Vietnam.

Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar
Hearty Australian classics including excellent steaks are on the menu at this dinner-only restaurant.

The Lotus Lounge
Serves coffee, light bites and afternoon tea by day, and cocktails and cigars come nightfall.

Revo Café
A buzzy café where coffee and juices flow all day long.

Bubble Dining
With 24 hours’ notice, dining for two can be arranged in an air-conditioned bubble for a special occasion.

Mai Bar
Pick up refreshments in the pool from the swim-up bar or hop out of the water for poolside snacks.

We love the novelty rickshaw tables at Mekong. But hopping on a boat to reach Luna also makes for something extra special.

There are couple’s suites, plus Turkish and Moroccan hammams and a wide variety of steam rooms and saunas.

The resort offers PADI courses in collaboration with the Reef Oasis Diving Centre, whether you want a two-hour programme or multi-day option to gain your Advanced Open Water license.

Working within Dubai Sustainability Guidelines, Anantara has a number of initiatives in its sustainability programme. They have five key pillars - recycle, reduce, reuse, repurpose and refuse. For example, coffee pods are recycled and food waste is composted for use in the landscaped gardens.

This is a great resort for children with accommodation designed to suit their needs and restaurants willing to accommodate requests. The Tuk-tuk Kids’ Club and the Chill Teens’ Club are entertaining spaces for children to play games and try activities like Zumba, arts and crafts and badminton.

Certified babysitting is available for a charge with 24 hours’ notice.
