Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp

A step into the wild

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp has become synonymous with low-impact game viewing.

Hidden among the rocky outcrops of the Serengeti National Park, the camp lies at the start point of the Annual Great Migration. The greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet features a thundering soundtrack of some six million hooves, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing.

Even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa, with great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Next to the camp, the famous Grumeti River is home to resident hippos that grunt and wallow their days away. The liberating sense of space that stretches across the sunburnt savannah only adds to the drama. Guests can enjoy daily game drives and walking safaris with highly knowledgeable guides, while back at camp the swimming pool waits for a refreshing dip.
